Chocolate Exchange
The Chocolate Exchange!
The Chocolate Exchange is something that’s been going around Snailmail
recently. I happen to think that it’s such a groovy idea the WHOLE WORLD
should do it! So it’s here, give it a try, or don’t. Your choice.
What is it?
The Chocolate Exchange is a brilliant idea (which, isn’t mine, although I
wish it was) and, basically, you send a particular person a bar of
chocolate and the letter to six friends and, if all goes well, you get sent
36 bars from 36 different people.
That’s pretty much it.
How do I take part?
To start of a new Exchange, copy this letter. At the bottom, in place of
the two names and addresses, put your details and that of a friend (it’s
important that there’s two addresses there. It also might be a good idea to
make sure the person who’s address you’re putting is ok with it, although
why someone would object, I have no idea).
The print it out and send it to 6 people who you think will participate.
They follow the instructions, and, if all goes well, chocolate bars make
their way to you. Of course, you as the originator don’t have to send a
chocolate bar to anyone, so it’s an even greater bargain! ::grin::
That’s all there is to it. No catches, no nothing. Of course, I get nothing
out of this, but I think it counts as me doing my bit for world
happiness… after all, when free chocolate bars turn up on your doorstep
who isn’t happy?
Please, don’t misuse this. Enjoy it. If you think it’s a dodgy idea, just
don’t do it. Don’t send it to people who you know won’t participate – it
isn’t fair on those who do.
Dear ___________
This is a Chocolate Exchange!
That’s right, a chocolate exchange. Please send a bar of chocolate (not a
very big bar) to the person listed at number 1 and send a copy of this
letter to six of your friends. My name is number 2, but will become number
1 on the letters you send. Your name will be number 2. Only my name and
yours should appear when you send this letter on.
This is not a chain letter, it is for fun. If you cannot do this within
five days, please let me know, as it is not fair to those who have
participated. One Jiffy bag will mail nicely. You should recieve 36 bars of
chocolate. It will be fun to see where they all come from and the variety
you recieve! Seldom does anyone drop out as we all love chocolate.
Remember, 36 bars for the price of one. I challenge you to find a better
bargain.
Love,
((Your name here))
No 1 ((Your friend’s name and address here))
No 2 ((Your name and address here))
